PRODUCT TRACEABILITY

At Utkarsh, quality is paramount. Our TMT bars undergo 13 meticulous quality checks post-production, ensuring excellence at every step. From chemical tests verifying raw material quality to mechanical checks assessing dimensions and strength, we leave no stone unturned. Each batch is subjected to rigorous scrutiny, including macrotech testing for microstructure analysis and bend tests for ductility assessment. Moreover, our bundling test guarantees that only the highest-quality materials reach our customers. We at UTKARSH are extremely cautious about our product quality. From the raw material to final product dispatch, every material has to pass through our scrupulous quality standards. A total of 13 types of Chemical and Mechanical Tests are performed before dispatch of the TMT bars.

CHEMICAL TESTS

INCOMING RAW
MATERIAL QUALITY TEST

All Incoming raw materials are rigorously tested in SHIMADZU spectrometer with 18 channels.

CHARGEMIX PLANNING

Raw materials are sorted & prepared based on their chemical composition.

ON PROCESS TEST

During the steel-making process sample is sent for Spectrometer to analyze the chemical composition of the liquid metal.

FINAL BATH TEST

A final sample of the bath is analyzed through Spectrometer Based on the results, de oxidation & ferro alloy additions are made.

LADLE REFINING

Before being sent for casting, each liquid metal ladle undergoes inert Argon purging to remove non-metallic oxides & gaseous impurities.

FINAL BILLET PHYSICAL TEST

UTKARSH is a highly reliable method for detecting the microstructure of billets and any discontinuities such as inclusions, laps, porosity, cracks, pipes, and flakes.

FINAL BILLET CHEMICAL TEST

The Spectrometer is used to ensure the chemical composition of the first & last billets in each batch.

CHECKS

PHYSICAL TEST

UTKARSH provide best physical properties of BILLET & TMT bars.

MECHANICAL TEST

During the production of TMT, the mechanical properties of TMT Weight/meter, yield stress, tensile strength, and Elongation & Total Elongation are regularly checked every 30 minutes using a Universal Testing Machine.

BEND TEST

The bending test for TMT bars is designed to assess the steel's ductility & To perform the test, a sample of TMT Rebar being applied a load through a mandrel until the steel reaches a specified bending angle of 180 degrees.

RE-BEND TEST

After Bend test its now applying a load through a mandrel until it reaches an included angle of 135 degrees. At UTKARSH, the bending test is carried out using mandrels as specified in IS Standards.

RING TEST

In TMT bars when the end is removed, two circles can be observed, indicating that the outer surface forms a distinct layer from the inner core. This test verifies that the steel bar has undergone the 'Quenching Process'.

FINAL PRODUCT TEST

During bundling, random pieces are selected from each TMT Batch Physical & mechanical Test ensure that the materials meet quality standards before being dispatched.

POLLUTION CONTROL SYSTEM

Our pollution control system is meticulously designed to meet the highest air quality standards. With advanced filtration mechanisms and a comprehensive bag house system, we ensure that all carbon impurities are 100% filtered and trapped, guaranteeing only the cleanest air is returned to the atmosphere. Our system weighs around 200 metric tons and spans over 300 meters of pipes, demonstrating our commitment to minimizing environmental impact.

RECYCLING

Utkarsh TMT Bars is proud to offer a recycling process that is 40% less polluting than traditional steel production from iron ore.
