The Story of our vision to reality
1985
Back in 1985, in Ahmedabad Rolling Mills Private Limited located in Bamanbore, Gujarat, the journey began with a production capacity of 1200 metric tons per month, crafting Mild Steel CTD bars (which stand for Cold Twisted Deformed bars). The group’s Founder Chairman, Shri Jaidev Arya, initiated this venture.
1992
Fast forward to 1992, Jaidev Alloys Limited came into existence, equipped with a 3 metric ton induction furnace in Veraval, Shapar Industrial Area. We had a production capacity of producing 1500 metric tons per month.
1993
In 1993, led by visionary chairman Shri Niraj Arya, Virat Ispat Private Limited began manufacturing BIS approved TMT rebars with a monthly capacity of 2000 metric tons. Introducing the VIRAT brand, they became one of the first BIS-certified manufacturers in Veraval Shapar
1998
Moving ahead to 1998, Everest Steel Rolling Mill was acquired which was situated in Metoda GIDC, Gujarat, expanding our production to manufacture 6 mm round bars at a capacity of 600 MT per month.
2000
By the turn of the millennium in 2000, ‘Virat’ TMT bars emerged as the top brand in Saurashtra, among more than 130 rolling mills, with a network of 50+ dealers spread across Gujarat
2002
In 2002, Utkarsh Industries commenced operations in Veraval, Shapar, adding an extra capacity of 2000 metric tons per month to manufacture Virat brand TMT rebars, bringing our total production capacity to 4000 MT per month.
2006
saw the establishment of Niraj Overseas, specializing in shipbreaking at Sachana.
2012
Utkarsh Bars Private Limited, using state-of the-art technology, produces high-quality, highly ductile ‘D’ material with a capacity of 8,000 MT. Their new Val, Shapar plant adds 2,000 MT/month, totaling 4,000 MT/month for Virat brand TMT rebars.
2017
Utkarsh Bars witnessed enhancement in 2017, with an increase of 5000 metrictons per month, totaling 13000 metric tons per month.
2019
In 2019, continuing our commitment to efficiency, we integrated our operations to produce our raw material MS billets in our new unit Utkarsh Ispat LLP with a capacity of 2 lakh metric tons. This ensured 100% control over the chemistry and physical properties of our raw material for TMT bars
2023
In 2023, we expanded our portfolio with the superior grade 550D, enhancing our industry position. With Utkarsh Ispat LLP’s backward integration unit, we introduced Fe 550D bars, offering 10% higher tensile strength and unmatched quality control.
